Your right tip,,elevation does play a major role..thats what I said...but your missing the point of what I explained. Cuba isnt mostly flat....its terrain is hilly with most of its moutains over the eastern end...the central part does have some decent tops also but not as numerous....the western 1/4 is mostly flat.
