Rain... yeah we got 3 inches and it wasnt worth a darn. Fires are still everywhere and we are right back where we were a month ago as far as rain deficit goes. As for the NHC they are overcautious this year more than usual so we have to keep checking in every day to see whats up. As far as the idea that the more you know the less you freak... I wouldnt necessarily say that is so, at least not with me. The more I know the more i check out sites and learn even more and try to figure out whats going on. I watch this stuff 10 times more than I did 2 years ago.
I'll say one thing, I really dont like the 12z cmc. I know we often discount that model cuz it invariably overdoes everything but it was pretty good from the beginning with Alberto so I am checking it regularly lately.
