Well a tsunami is really not a Weather Event, however, if a local warning has not been issued, there will not be anything much to see - usually takes about a 7.0 to trigger a tsunami, but not always.

Since the sea wave travels at the speed of sound in (deep) salt water (about 680mph). Even at 500mph in the Gulf, by the time you read this, if its going to happen - it already has (for your location).
