Ed - Ok, I'll poke a shot at this one! Bertha to be named between July 1 and July 2. Hmmm, guess I've got to pick the specific day...... Ok then, will go with an 8:00pm "Special Advisory" naming on July 1. Guess is somewhere between 55-65 degrees West longitude and at, or south of 18 degrees Lat. As for first hurricane? Well, that WILL be Bertha, but late on the day of July 3rd, and just prior to landfall ( with a heading of approx. 290 ). Perhaps a little unwelcomed "fireworks" for one of our Caribbean neighbors, in advance of Independance Day.
