Getting your Home and property ready
      Wed May 13 2009 04:52 PM

With the new season upon us, I thought it might be a good idea to let any non natives and new comers know there are ways to get your property ready to better withstand storm force winds and flooding. By doing what you can well before the threat of a storm, you may be able to sleep alittle easier for the next few months. There is alot you can do now to get your house and property in good shape for a storm. Inspect your roof, trim back trees, be sure sheds and storage buildings are tied down securely, fix drainage problems, gather together important papers in a secure containers, copy computer hard drives to a portable system, and know your evacuation routes as well as away from home plans in case they are needed. You can also check out these two articles for more detailed information if you like. http://www.bukisa.com/articles/53794_pre...our-house-ready, http://www.ehow.com/how_4877106_hurricane-protect-house-storm-damage.html
