Isaac is strengthening and the rain area is expanding rapidly over the lower half of the peninsula. Here in northern Manatee it is now light rain and frisky winds, but radar indicates heavier rain and bands of hard rain are closing in. Depending on the north to west ratio of the motion of the storm and the strength, this could go on for quite a while. I have not seen a storm so far away generate so much weather since Donna in 1960, and I have experienced more than a few. If this were better organized ....
