GOM Upper Level Low

A vigorous late season mid-continental trough has pinched off an upper level low in the Gulf of Mexico near 24N 88.5W at 01/04Z. The feature is drifting to the east southeast at about 5 knots and will continue to pump abundant tropical moisture over the Florida peninsula for most of this week. ED
