We had approx 6000 strikes in Orange County in an hour tonight around 7 pm, as the storm came through here to converge south with couple of storms over Polk & Osceola counties the local mets say about 15-17,000 strikes, downburst damage about 7:20 pm in W Orange County, quarter size hail, still storming in some areas few hundred miles south of here! I haven't seen a lightshow like that since Hurricane Charley came over my house last year, popping transformers for 3 hours!
