This may be a little off of post, but it bears mentioning:

Awhile back, the city of N.O had requested additional funding to upgrade their leeve systems in and around the city, costing Billions of dollars, which was turned down saying it was too expensive. A report out now, as of today, stating that it is now costing the U.S. a billion dollars a day for relief and recovery missions. Well I guess hindsight is 20/20 afterall.
