Tropical Storm Huko

TS Huko (pronounced Hoo-ko) is located well south of Oahu moving to the west northwest. Current sustained winds are 55kts (which may be a bit generous) and the storm is under west to southwesterly shear. The shear should let up in about 24 hours allowing for slow intensification. Huko should pass near Johnston Atoll on Wednesday as a minimal Cat I hurricane. Here is a link to the weather reports out of Johnston:
