Record Low in Tallahassee?

I don't know if this means anything at all in this case since Tallahassee seems to have the record snowfalls for Florida and the record rainfalls as well( if you are from the surrounding area, you may know this is as a standard joke) but, I have noticed sometimes that right before a tropical system bursts out that the area north of the system has a kind of dip in temperature. This is a little homespun forecasting but thought it might make fodder for discussion.
