I have been cruising through my favorite hurricane sites today to see what the consensus was behind the official word and the thing that struck me was the level of anger is as high before the first season storm as it usually is by the end of a normal hurricane season. The fear and the distress from 2004 and 2005 is still very high and it is provoking misunderstandings misinterpretations of intent and outright rage responses already. I am wondering how some of the more traumatized coastal residents will survive the anxiety of another unpredictable season. I know that some will not be able to watch at all and others will be jumping at each and every mention of a system. Please remember to be kind to those who have gone through so much and to tolerate those who have not experienced any hurricane before. We can all use each other's talents from the scientist to the lowly counselor to survive the best way we can. Thankfully we have internet and mostly a freedom of speech.
