Where did this come from....if you don't mind me asking? This looks like something I will have to try out this season. I have always thought more in terms of every 20-25 mB below 1000 was fairly well related to in increase in category if you figure 1000 as the transition zone from TS to Hurricane. This is more complicated, but may work out better in the 'real world'.
