Looking at the model-projected wind fields and temperatures, there does seem to be plenty of support for one to argue that it has a respectable chance of acquiring a good deal of "tropical characteristics" over the next few. Whatever this coastal low ends up doing, a Hurricane Force Wind Warning is already up from OPC for the coastal waters - "W CENTRAL N ATLC CONTINENTAL SHELF AND SLOPE WATERS BEYOND 20 NM TO 250 NM OFFSHORE...INCLUDING S OF GEORGES BANK FROM 1000 FM TO 250 NM OFFSHORE ANZ086-062030- HATTERAS CANYON TO CAPE FEAR OUT TO 34N 71W TO 32N 73W 1030 AM EDT SUN MAY 6 2007"
