Last night on PCB (panama city beach) we had a tornado warning... and of course i was right in the middle of it....
POSSIBLE TORNADO SIGHTED NEAR AQUA VISTA BETWEEN 1130PM CDT AND MIDNIGHT CDT BY PCB POLICE. UMBRELLAS AND CHAIRS STREWN ON BEACH. (TAE)
I was about 1 mile east of this condo... and yeah i saw what could of been a funnel...but was not too sure.... the cloud to ground lightning was INTENSE..... of course i took shelter as it was heading towards my location... had small hail and wind must of picked up there as the area i was watching passed DIRECTLY overheard... est winds 60-80mph that lasted about 10-20 seconds. The NWS in TLH issued the following
TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TALLAHASSEE FL 1141 PM CDT TUE JUN 17 2008
AT 1138 PM CDT...EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT REPORTED 3 TO 5 TORNADOES TOUCHDOWNS AT PANAMA CITY BEACH...OR NEAR PANAMA CITY...MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 9 MPH. THEY MAY PRODUCE WATERSPOUTS OFF THE COAST.
of course my home was to the east of me... and based on my weather sensors data... the wind stayed out of the south and peaked one point at 28mph.... then wind moved to the wnw.... (so the cell passed to the north of me)
More wicked weather coming... got some cool images/video and data
