there should be a general list, how much windspeed is expected to cause how much damage in which region. This could be combined with the forecast-models.
I remember, I saw a quick estimate of the Gustav damage before the first reports about actual damages came in
expected (local) damage is more important, more interesting for the mitigation, evacuation plans than predicted paths and windspeeds
