Developing System
      Sun Aug 01 2010 12:19 AM

A tropical system is slowly developing in the eastern Atlantic barely north of the ITCZ. Best guess at initial position at 01/03Z is 8.8N 35.9W - although it should be noted that a few other swirls can also be detected within the large convective envelope. System appears to be moving to the west northwest at 12 knots.
