Invest 97L is all but gone with most of its energy captured by P30L over western Africa near 10N 8W at 18/12Z. P30L has a well defined low pressure system.

The lower-latitude system mentioned in the earlier post has become Invest 98L located at 11.0N 35.2W at 18/12Z. Invest 98L maintains a weak circulation and would have a more westerly track if it develops.

Invest 99L has formed at the southern end of a mid-Atlantic trough. 99L has a low pressure system but the circulation and convection is influenced by west northwesterly shear that should begin to wane in the next 24 hours.
