The area over the northeast Gulf extending into offshore the Southeast now has a 40% chance to develop into a tropical or subtropical system this weekend or early next week. Lots of off/on rain in Florida in the meantime.

development in Southern Carribean in about five days

Most of the recent model runs have some development in and coming out of the Carribean in the next five days or so. Two of the more reliable models keep it weak and take it into the Atlantic over eastern Cuba. NHC has circled the most likely area today and given it 10% in the next two days...
