At 13/03Z, TD 10 was located about 145 miles to the east northast of Veracruz, Mexico, with sustained winds of 30 knots and a central pressure of 1003MB. TD 10 was drifting to the west at 2kts and very little movement is likely on Friday and Friday night. The TD should take a more northwesterly to northerly track on Saturday, but steering currents are weak and movement will likely be erratic. Although SSTs are close to 30C, strong south to southwesterly windshear will allow for only limited additional development on Friday and Saturday. The TD in concert with Invest 90E in the eastern Pacific will funnel abundant moisture over portions of southern and eastern Mexico as well as Guatemala and Belize. Rainfall amounts up to 25 inches in the mountains of Mexico will cause significant flooding and mudslides.
