...A FLOOD WATCH HAS BEEN CANCELLED FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN
MISSISSIPPI AND SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA...
TROPICAL DEPRESSION MATTHEW HAS MOVED INLAND OVER SOUTHEAST
LOUISIANA AND IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE NORTH AND WEAKEN. DRY AIR IN
THE MID LAYERS OF THE ATMOSPHERE OVER THE NORTHWEST GULF OF
MEXICO WILL PUSH ACROSS SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA AND SOUTH MISSISSIPPI
THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT. THE DRY AIR WILL INHIBIT WIDESPREAD RAIN
TO DEVELOP. THEREFORE...THE FLOOD WATCH FOR FLASH FLOODING IS NO
LONGER A THREAT. COASTAL FLOODING WILL PERSIST FOR AREAS ALONG TIDAL
LAKES...OUTSIDE LEVEES AND COASTAL AREAS.
