The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern James City County in southeastern Virginia...
  Northwestern York County in southeastern Virginia...
  The City of Williamsburg in southeastern Virginia...

* Until 700 PM EDT.

* At 357 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 2
  inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2
  inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing
  or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Newport News, Williamsburg, Queens Lake, College Of William And
  Mary, York Terrace, Carver Gardens, Kings Point, Busch Gardens,
  Grove, Jamestown, Water Country U.S.A., Williamsburg Airport, Camp
  Peary, Oaktree, Skimino, Ewell and Barlows Corner.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
