increased in duration for the following rivers in Mississippi...
Bogue Chitto River Near Tylertown affecting Pike and Walthall
Counties.
For the Bogue Chitto River...including Tylertown, Franklinton,
Bush...Major flooding is forecast.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL MONDAY EVENING...
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Bogue Chitto River near Tylertown.
* WHEN...Until Monday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 25.0 feet, There will be extensive flooding of Hidden
Springs Resort Park. Homes and secondary roads in the vicinity of
the river will remain flooded. There will be widespread flooding
of pasture and farm land.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:45 PM CST Saturday the stage was 22.5 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 24.0
feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
flood stage early Monday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
