...Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity and
increased in duration for the following rivers in Louisiana...
Bogue Chitto River At Franklinton affecting Washington Parish.
For the Bogue Chitto River...including Tylertown, Franklinton,
Bush...Major flooding is forecast.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE TUESDAY MORNING...
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Bogue Chitto River at Franklinton.
* WHEN...Until late Tuesday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Bogue Chitto Heights Subdivision will
begin to flood. Some homes will be damaged. Homes on the west bank
north of Louisiana Highway 10 will flood. It is recommended that
sand and gravel operations be stopped and equipment secured.
Access roads to recreational areas will flood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:15 AM CST Sunday the stage was 12.8 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.0
feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
flood stage early Tuesday morning.
- Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
