.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 152 AM CDT Mon Apr 6 2026

Other than a stray shower or two Monday morning, we will begin to
dry out Monday and into early next week. Below normal temperatures
are expected early this week with a warming trend beginning mid-
week. Luckily we won`t have to wait too long for our next
opportunity to get some rain. Low chances (20-35%) for showers
return to the forecast each afternoon Thursday through Saturday.
Above normal temperatures are expected to return by late this
weekend.

.AVIATION...
(06Z TAFS)
Issued at 152 AM CDT Mon Apr 6 2026

VFR conditions are expected to prevail through the course of the TAF
cycle. Skies will be overcast during the night period before
clearing through the day with generally light winds.

&&

.MARINE...
Issued at 152 AM CDT Mon Apr 6 2026

A fresh to strong (BF 5-6) northeast breeze will continue through
Monday morning before decreasing to moderate to fresh levels (BF 4-5)
Monday afternoon and predominately moderate levels Monday night
through mid-week. Rain chances quickly decrease Monday afternoon
before low to medium (25-45%) rain chances return mid-week across
the Gulf waters.

&&

.FIRE WEATHER...
Issued at 152 AM CDT Mon Apr 6 2026

Although drier conditions will develop through Wednesday, slight
rain and thunderstorm chances return to the forecast by late week
into the weekend. Relative humidity values will remain above
critical thresholds. Therefore, elevated fire weather conditions are
not expected.
