.DISCUSSION...
KEY MESSAGE 1: High pressure will maintain mostly dry
conditions this week, with an elevated fire danger.

Strong high pressure will continue to build from the northwest
through the week with mainly dry conditions. The exception will
be a few showers along the GA coast through tonight, and then
possible coastal showers Wed-Fri along the SC/GA coast as a weak
coastal trough develops.

An elevated fire danger is expected this week due to dipping
afternoon RH values and gusty northeast winds. Conditions are
not quite to Red Flag criteria but we could need Fire Danger
Statements some days.

&&

.AVIATION /18Z MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY/...
Gusty NE winds will settle down late this afternoon, then breezy
conditions again expected during the day Tuesday.

Extended Aviation Outlook: VFR, with breezy NE winds Wednesday and
Thursday.

&&

.MARINE...
Persistent moderate NE winds will continue through the week,
with seas steadily building. Solid Gales begin Tuesday afternoon
or evening and continue through early Thursday morning during
the period of tightest gradient. We upgraded the existing Gale
Watches to Gale Warnings with this package and issued a Small
Craft Advisory for Charleston Harbor starting late Tuesday
evening.

Rip Currents: Increasing NE winds and building swells will
result in a Moderate risk for rip currents along the SC coast
on Tuesday with a High risk along the GA coast. Wednesday and
likely into Thursday we anticipate a High risk for all beaches.

High Surf: High surf and beach erosion could impact the beaches
Wednesday through Friday as seas build 8+ feet over the coastal
waters. High Surf Advisories may be needed.
