.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 1212 AM CDT Wed Apr 8 2026

A strong ridge of high pressure along the east coast will maintain
a moderate to strong easterly flow across the area through
Thursday. This will lead to a high risk of rip currents along with
high surf at area beaches. Strong marine winds and high seas can
also be expected over the offshore waters. Cannot rule out a few
isolated showers on Wednesday, however the highest rain chances
remain well offshore. Otherwise, upper level ridging will build
over the southeast late this week through early next week.
Subsidence under the upper ridge will maintain dry conditions with
warming temps. High temps will warm from the mid 70s on Wednesday
into the low to mid 80s this weekend. Lows will generally stay in
the low to mid 50s before increasing into the upper 50s and low
60s by early next week. /13
