SEVERE WEATHER STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MIAMI FL
315 PM EDT WED AUG 25 2004

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING CONTINUES UNTIL 330 PM EDT FOR
CENTRAL BROWARD COUNTY...

AT 306 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO 
INDICATE SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING DAMAGING WINDS. 
THESE STORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG I-75 BETWEEN PEMBROKE PINES AND 
WESTON.

THE MAIN CONCERNS WITH THESE STORMS ARE WIND GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 55 
MPH...AND HEAVY RAINS WHICH MAY FLOOD POORLY DRAINED AREAS MAKING 
ROADWAYS INDISTINGUISHABLE FROM CANALS AND PONDS. AVOID DRIVING IN 
WATERS COVERING ROADWAYS.
